Physical Education Teacher

Full-time 21 hours ago Full Job Description Belmont High School is seeking a full-time Physical Education teacher, beginning in the fall of the 2023-24 school year, to instruct students according to an established curriculum.
We are seeking a student-centered educator who, through leadership and positive relationship building, has the ability to develop in each student an understanding of the correlations between personal wellness and body function/exercise.
The ideal candidate has the ability to motivate each student; he/she will cultivate an appreciation for physical fitness and provide opportunities for students to discover talents in physical achievement, strength development, and coordination in individual and team physical activities/sports.
The teacher will meet students where they are and monitor growth in accordance with each pupils abilities.
The selected candidate must be able to demonstrate, and promote, sportsmanlike conduct and be NHDOE Certified/Certifiable.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
- Create and communicate instructional objectives for the course and for units of study.
- Establish appropriate instructional goals and objectives for the class that are consistent with the schools curriculum.
- Correlate learning activities with instructional objectives.
- Effectively integrate appropriate technology.
- Prepare and maintain plans and modify them as necessary to meet students needs.
- Implement a classroom management program for students, assisting them in learning and demonstrating responsible behavior.
- Respect confidentiality.
- Submit progress and other reports on each student in the formal education program with recommendations as to further development.
- Review and purchase appropriate instructional materials to meet individual needs and to support the curriculum.
- Utilize homework and formative assessment as tools for the reinforcement of instruction.
- Supervise or assist in field trips, recreational, and/or other extracurricular programs for the benefit of students.
- Uphold and enforce school rules, administrative regulations, and School Board Policies.
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to school committees and work groups.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS- Proper certification/eligibility certificate to teach from the NH Department of Education.
- Bachelors Degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in education.
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with teachers, agency personnel, students, parents, and the public.
- Knowledge of basic education techniques and methods.
- Knowledge of competency-based education practices and standards-based reporting.
- Ability to work with all students, including those who possess educational disabilities.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to students unique learning styles.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
